The Ultimate Guitar Christmas Fake Book by Hal Leonard
This is comprehensive collection of Christmas classics, including fake book arrangements of well over 200 Christmas songs. Three thumbs up from CleverJoe.
Good collection of arrangements, most are in easier keys that beginners will find workable. A few challenging arrangements are also included. Guitar notation is in either fingering charts or chord names. A few unusual, but tasty numbers can be found in this huge collection, including Brian Wilson's "Little Saint Nick" and a simplified instrumental of the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from The Nutcracker. Big thumbs up.
All the Christmas music standards. Only Warner Bros. can come up with a collection like this - the best Christmas songs ever, all in one clever book. Includes classical songs like "Gesu Bambino" as well as modern tunes like "Sleigh Ride". Arranged for piano/vocals/chords and includes chord symbols. Not for the absolute beginner, but you don't need to be a pro to learn the pieces either. Good book - recommended.
Recently picked up the guitar? This book will help get you playing and enjoying those
great traditional christmas carols with the whole family. Not for the absolute beginner, but
a good starter that's not too complicated for beginners.
