Overview
Looking for a portable digital piano that will stand up to the test of true playability and sound quality? CleverJoe has enjoyed a long lasting love affair with the Roland FP digital piano series. Combined with Roland's great piano hammer action and some of their finest stereo-sampled piano sounds, this is the most advanced FP-Series piano to date. The FP-5 features a full 88 key hammer-action keyboard and a built-in speaker system. The grand and acoustic piano sounds in this puppy are full on. Organ players will appreciate the virtual ToneWheel organ sounds - two words: Big and Chunky. There's lots of room for sound layering with the FP's 64-voice polyphony, and dedicated knobs allow live control over the volume of the layered sounds. The cream on top are the fresh new styles and programmable chord progressions. For live piano players, studio players and hobbyist alike, the Roland FP-5 keyboard is packed with the good stuff. Three thumbs up high from CleverJoe.

- Enhanced organ tones based on Rolands Virtual ToneWheel technology
- Dedicated knobs for controlling relative volume of layered sounds

- 3 pedal inputs (damper, sostenuto, soft) with half-pedal recognition

Piano Hammer Action
The FP-5 uses real piano hammers rather than springs. The lower register has a heavier touch, and the upper register a lighter touch, similar to a real acoustic grand piano.
Half-Pedal Recognition
Three pedal inputs are included, allowing players to connect a damper pedal and optional soft/sostenuto pedals. With Roland's half-pedal recognition, the FP-5s damper pedal can go between the off and on position for a response even more like an acoustic piano.
