A garage band in the true sense of the word, The Dirty Love (taken equally from Motörhead & Frank Zappa) began jamming in a garage furnished with discarded carpet samples, and castaway couches. The smell of mold, must and meandering permeated the air, while the four disciples of rock sharpened their axes.
couple of police visits and a pregnant neighbour later, and The Dirty Love moved out of the garage and into a dank basement boiler room in downtown Kitchener. However, the band embraced “The Dank”, and the beautiful disrepair of their surroundings flicker proudly in each of their songs. The music speaks for itself, and those who have heard it are pleased to have been infected with loudness that is The Dirty Love.
Loud, Proud, and Dangerously Sexy… Matt Mcloud (bass), Matt Weaver (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jordan Russell (drums) and Jamie Butcher (lead guitar); dangerously sexy like making love in the back of a Trans-Am in your parent’s driveway. The Bible of Rock has been written by the masters: Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Motörhead, Cream, and Turbonegro, just to name a few. The Dirty Love is preaching the word; guitar as thy staff, knobs to eleven.
