- The Fed Pennies
Rock
The Fed Pennies consit of a three piece band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Their music can be described as Halifax Indie Pop meets a raging mix of the Toronto and British Electro Pop Underground. It can also be described as Metric meets Radiohead with a punkabilly attitude.
Backed with solid melodies, disenchanted lyrics and playfully angry bass lines this band is definatley worth checking out!!
Their influences range from The Misfits to Black Sabbath to The Beatles

Jazz and or blues
Take the wide range, flexible, vocal capabilities of ELLA FITZGERALD; Add to that, DINAH WASHINGTON'S vocal style that was at home in all kinds of music, be it R&B, Jazz, Blues or Pop; Put in some of ROSEMARY CLOONEY'S excellent lyric interpretations; Throw in lots of SARAH VAUGHN'S sassiness; Now, place on all of this DINAH SHORE'S glowing smile and you've just created Miss EILEEN JOYCE.

We are based in the terrible town of Antigonish, Nova Scotia where no musical scene exists. Punk influenced band, with some pretty weird lyrics.
